Again, two agencies deal directly with this issue: Noise Pollution 
Clearing House (Les Bloomberg up there somewhere in Vermont), and 
Quiet Down America! (Kat Krause up here somewhere in California), 
both dealing directly with awareness and legislation issues related 
to different aspects of noise. The first, NPCH, deals w/ urban noise. 
The second, QDA, deals with the effect of anthropogenic noise on 
wildlife biophony and the human effect on those who wish to hear 
creature voices unimpaired.
