I expect that folks just got too soft for them. They don't look very
comfortable. And they got expensive as well.
There are still some here.
My biggest problem with vehicles is folks who don't keep their cars or
trucks aligned. The tires wear unevenly, and the noise they make carries
for a long ways. You think it must be some giant off-road truck by the
lug sounds, and when it arrives it's a family sedan or such like.
