Personally, Real Player would not be my first choice to play MP3
files. You may wish to try Windows Media Player (Version 9.0 free
to download). This app has a very nice bar display that I like to
watch while I listen to a sound clip. You can use Windows Explorer
to set the default application of your choice to open any sound file
that you click on.
