Straight from Google:

others here http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/cat/SPECTRUM_ANALYZERS/

also, if you stick with screenshots, gif's tend to look better than jpg's
for the limited palatte of a desktop application.

Subject: [Nature Recordists] Sound editing & sonogram software on PC

Hi,

Using a PC under Windows, I currently edit by recordings with CoolEdit 2000.
I am no expert, I just like the tool... Do some of you have good arguments
for another software under Windows ?

When I want a sonogram, I use snagIt to take a snapshot of the CoolEdit
spectral view of the wave (as in http://www.pca.be/samples/sonogram
10b.jpg). But the result is far from what Walt gets for his frog calls with
SoundHack on the Mac (as in
http://frogphotos.home.mindspring.com/sonograms/Bird-voiced.TF.Sono.jpg).
Can you suggest a better -- while still affordable -- program to generate
clearer sonograms under Windows ? Or is it just that I need to get better at
it with CoolEdit ?

Many thanks for your advice !
