You'd need a mic above that price. The Dish is $75, when I last bought 
one of those sony tie tac mics it was $50. You can use any small mic in 
it of course. PVC pipe at the hardware store is not very much, but still 
something.

Note that's not a fixed design, more like one possible way of doing it.
