Walt, I wanted to thank you again for reminding me of the "make it yourself" option for the Telinga. I'll put it on my to do list for sometime this year, and getting the parabola and materials for $100US is not very expensive either! On another subject, I turned up a used Sony ECM-MS957 microphone for sale for less than $100. If it weren't so darn heavy for backpacking, I wouldn't be hesitating at all. I'll probably get it...that is around half new price.
