Hi Rich--
I like the goal of locality-- of specifically encouraging Minnesota
folks to listen/record. Perhaps the recordings could be
organized/documented geographically and temporally and downloads
include text narratives and site thumbnails in a folder zipped
together? I know its "Orniphonics," but I wonder if allowing folks to
post excerpts from other explorations like soundwalks might work
better for beginning recordists than a focus only on foregrounded
species. Hearing your quality foregrounded recordings, beginners may
be too embarrassed to submit. oMNiphonics?
Pardon my elaborations, fun to think about--
Rob D.
