On the other hand, I often find myself using my camo-painted parabola as
a blind, I can quietly do what I want crouched behind it with minimal
disturbance to my subject.  I've also often wondered if the reason I
haven't been eaten by a cougar yet (seen them enough) is that I look big
and unnatural with the parabola slung over my shoulder?

For recording birds I often sight through my Telinga parabola as an aid
in
pointing at the bird I am recording.

So for me, I prefer a clear see-through parabola.
