Regarding the cost of a recording kit that includes a Creative Nomad Jukebox 3 and a separate pre-amp, Walter Knapp wrote "The total will be similar to a Field recorder like the Portadisc..." You could pay more, but a usable setup would cost about half as much as the Portadisc: Nomad Jukebox 3.......................$350 list Denecke AD-20 preamp .................$325 list TOSLINK to miniplug optical cable......$20 list Bag to protect and organize the kit .. $50? Total .............................. ~$750 in a package about 6" x 6" x 3" and weighing ~2lb.
