Klas and Walt and All,

Two questions:

1) OK so if I used NIMH 2200 Ah C cells to replace the 1800 Ah dud cells in
the Sony battery shell, this higher Ah rating won't stuff up my tape
recorder will it?

2) Gordon, Flawn and Rob described various home-made 12v systems hooked up
to the DCP-80 6V voltage regulator. So if I make up one of these I'd just
wire up a bank of batteries then connect a cig. lighter socket to the
terminals, but how critical is the pos-neg connection from the bank of
batteries to the DCP-80 input lead? (The cig-lighter plug on the DCP-80
lead says "Car battery cord for negative grounded car").
