Fading the ends makes it less jarring, but still makes the looping really obvious. I have made some recordings which were intended to be looped without any obvious beginning or end. What I did was to cut the first half of the track out of the recording and paste it on at the end, and put some work into blending where they were joined so it sounded continuous. The new end and beginning were originally continuous, so they play nicely and without calling attention to the loop. --Brian M.
