CVX Mic test - first blush

I received one of Simon Squire's (River Forks) CVX 360=BA mics just this
week, and I installed it outside my office for a test run. It is fed
directly into my Yamaha Digital XG Sound Card then to my hard drive. I am
posting a 48-second MP3 (237K) if any of you are interested in hearing the=

preliminary result. I'm really happy with the mic so far - especially since=

it can sit out there through rain & snow!

The mic is doing very well, indeed! In this sample there is a range of
amplitudes and frequencies, from the Red-winged Blackbirds in the
foreground to that little Brewer's Sparrow singing in the background.
Listen too, for the trill of a Broad-tailed Hummer's wings, the crow of a
Gambel's Quail, and the incessant hammering on the neighbor's house.

A more thorough report later.
