Over the last few years in my local area White-winged Choughs have been
more common in suburban Ainslie and Dickson (previously I've mainly seen
them on Mt Ainslie).  I regularly see a group of about 10 outside Emmaus
school in Davenport st Dickson and I've seen them eating from rubbish
bins at Dickson shops. On Wednesday 1 May I found a dead banded bird
outside Emmaus. The Australian Bird and Bat Banding Scheme inform me
that the bird was banded in 2017 at Lyneham and was 5 years old when
banded. It had moved 2 km from the banding site.
