Sad news indeed, My last conversation with her was at Bittern hide while she was in a wheelchair. Giving me the news of her cancer she still had her typical beaming smile she always had. Bluett's will from now will have my nickname of Jean's reserve.

Many of you will be aware that long-term COG member Jean Casburn has been battling cancer for some time.  Jean died peacefully last night (21 August).
Jean was a champion in the fight to have Bluetts Block saved from development, which led to her being the winner of the ACT Environment Award in 2022. 
She was also a loved friend to many of us.
