I am disappointed to report there has been a complete lack of any response to my proposal. I’m also still at least one speaker short for the usual presentations.
Surely there are some COG members who have something that would be of interest to other members, so we can assure the continued success of our annual Members’ Night.

Subject: FW: Presentations for annual COG Members' Night
As so far I have only had offers from some of the most experienced presenters, I am proposing to take up Lia Battisson’s excellent suggestion to start the evening with a “Show
and Tell”.
This will allow a number of members to give less formal presentations for only several minutes each (with no PowerPoint slides, or just a couple) on a topic of their choice,
for example the most interesting bird related gifts that they have been given over the years, their best bird sighting or day’s birding they have ever had, etc.
One of the reasons I am taking up this suggestion is that it can be very hard to see the projector screen early in the evening, especially if the sun is still shining on to
it.
So I would welcome offers to give a less formal presentation which should take less preparation, particularly from newer or younger members, or those who have not presented
before.
Again many thanks for your kind consideration.

Again many thanks to those who responded to my call for presentations. As always I am very grateful for your offers to talk on our Members’ Night, it is very much appreciated.
However, I still have a few spots left. So if you have been thinking about a possible topic but have been holding off, there is still the opportunity to let me know. I am
more than happy to discuss any possibility.
Again many thanks for your kind consideration.

Good morning COG members
There has been a very limited response so far to my call (see below), in both the December issue of Gang-gang, and in the e-mail that alerted members to its availability, for presentations at the above meeting
to be held at the St James Hall, Curtin from 7:30 pm on Wednesday 12 January.
So that this very popular meeting can be a success, as it has been in the past, I would be very grateful if you could please carefully consider whether you may have something to present that would be of interest
to other members.
I am more than happy to discuss any possibility with you, including at the COG Christmas get-together tomorrow evening.
Many thanks for your kind consideration.

COG MEMBERS’ NIGHT, 7:30 pm, 12 January 2021
A program will be drawn up allowing COG members to contribute short presentations (about 10-15 minutes long) on a range of bird related topics.
So if you have a favourite birding moment for 2021, some special photos to share with members, a birding story to tell, or anything that you think might be of interest to other members, please:
Contact Jack Holland by E-mail on
m("bigpond.com","jandaholland");">) as soon as possible.
Members who have not presented to COG before are especially encouraged.
