Young Pallid Cuckoo

During a short walk at Campbell Park yesterday I watched a pair of White-plumed Honeyeaters slavishly ferrying food to a young Pallid Cuckoo perched in a bushy eucalypt. The portly youngster suggested a Michelin Man enshrouded in a cloak of feathers. Wonder if it’s early in the season for this advanced looking youngster?
