It was a weekend for discovering new nests. On Saturday morning I found a White-faced Heron nest with young at Goorooyarroo.

Then today we discovered a Pardalote nest in the packets of cow manure, which are on pallets, wrapped in plastic, on a high section of the shelving at Bunnings Gunghalin. I told the young staff members about it and we stood and watched the birds come and go. It appears the birds have torn the plastic and tunneled into a packet. The staff said they did not need to access the pallet for a while so would leave them be.
