I hear what you are saying, Con. But, taking the N.S.W. part of the Brindabellas it clearly states on their website that the roads are not to be used in the wet but the cowboys with their 33 inch mud tyres go in and rip up the tracks. The few spoiling it for the rest.

Basically, NSWNPWS has been starved of management funding.

Presumably ripping down stadiums and rebuilding them has greater priority.

So they can't afford to spend time fixing wrecked tracks or rescuing stranded people.

It used to be under the control of Griffith NPWS office, then it went to Cobar and according to an attachment on what you just sent, it now appears to be run from Dubbo. The main concern from NPWS staff that I have spoken to, they are extremely worried about fire in the reserve. As a general rule of thumb National Parks are for people, Nature Reserves are for protecting the environment.
