My only places for seeing them have been Mt Majura and at Tharwa on the hill behind the Val Jeffries’ store, but these were long older than 3 years ago.

When your picture loaded on my computer (from the top) what came through first was what looked like a woman in the desert in a hijab (above your comic Martin). I wondered what have you come up with this time?

Thanks Ryu, Philip, Kym.

I note the reference to ‘dropping she-oak trees’.  Exercise care when looking for these birds.

The question is:  what is the nearest to Canberra a GBC has been seen in the last 3 years?

I believe they can still be found around the Tallaganda Ridge.

Perhaps Carwoola is a good spot.
