I am completely in agreement with Martin on this issue. Therefore, and in accordance with what I think Martin is trying to do with his subject heading, I would like to formally put to the COG committee that this be made a very serious issue to be dealt with ASAP. Over the years COG has done much to help the ACT Government so it is about time they gave something back. No doubt there will be the usual one dissenting voice saying that the Government has more important issues like hospitals, schools etc, well if that is the case why have they put these signs up in such out of the way areas. Something MUST be done - I now refuse to visit the Kelly's Swamp area and park in the public car park as do several of my birding/photographer colleagues. It is going to cost very little to put up warning signs even if there are no cameras present, with luck it will stop all but the most determined idiot!

There have been quite a few comments on this chatline about break ins to cars.  There seems to be a consistent refusal by TAMS and CNP and WWT to do anything substantive about.

I was thus very surprised today to see a sign on the gate going into the Urriara Woodland () warning that security cameras were installed to detect illegal activity.

Then driving in to Urriara East Reserve ( according to Google Maps 25km from the ACT Legislative Assembly) I saw this :

Why the ({expletive deleted} can't they put some cameras (and/or signs) up at Kellys Swamp and/or Callum Brae?  They are both 10km from the Assembly.
