Hi Jack
I have reported a fledgling near my place. Just to be a bit more precise, it is located in trees between Robe St and Northcote Cres
Deakin. I have been seeing or hearing it since about 27 January. It has not moved far in that time (all of the locations where I have seen or heard it are within about 200m), but I have no reason to believe that there is more than one fledgling involved.
Its feeders are RWBs.

Subject: [canberrabirds] Update on Koel fledglings
Hello subscribers, I think it useful to provide a brief update of the number of Eastern Koel fledglings that I’m now aware of compared with that given in the just posted on the
COG web site February Gang-gang column which was written on Tuesday 30 January.
I now have 44 fledglings on my list. However, 27 of these have been reported by just 4 observers. One feature is that for at least 3 of them they’ve been occurring close together
within a relatively small area, with in my case nothing beyond that even if I check much more widely outside it.
The increase, particularly over the past 2 days, may be signs that the 2nd wave of fledglings from the RWBs’ third brood for the season is happening – so I await with interest further
reports (directly to me if you prefer) of any fledglings that you’ve observed!
