Hi Jack
As reported previously I have not seen or heard any juvenile Koels here in Watson. There have been adult Koels in the distance. There are still lots of juvenile Wattle Birds around which leads me to think that RWB's are waking up to the Koels designs.

Hello subscribers, I think it useful to provide a brief update of the number of Eastern Koel fledglings that I’m now aware of compared with that given in the just posted on the COG web site February Gang-gang column which was written on Tuesday 30 January.

I now have 44 fledglings on my list.  However, 27 of these have been reported by just 4 observers.  One feature is that for at least 3 of them they’ve been occurring close together within a relatively small area, with in my case nothing beyond that even if I check much more widely outside it.

The increase, particularly over the past 2 days, may be signs that the 2nd wave of fledglings from the RWBs’ third brood for the season is happening – so I await with interest further reports (directly to me if you prefer) of any fledglings that you’ve observed!

Many thanks
