The problem with the link is that the last two digits '92' are not included in
the link.

Subject: The secret of hummingbird tongues revealed
Sorry I don't understand what John offers as an explanation. The article
carries a date of 29-11-2017. Not sure what is the "one from some years ago".
The article is called: "Hummingbirds Are Where Intuition Goes to Die"
Did you see my last message? The link does work if it is put in in full.
The point of this new research and filming, is that it shows that most of the
earlier ideas to be wrong. It tells that it was thought that their tongues use
capillary action (I don't know by whom) but that is surely a strange idea for
such a fast living bird. I don't know anything more than what that article
claimed but it makes sense, when earlier ideas didn't.

Philip’s link did not work for me because it was to a recent article in the
magazine, not the one from some years ago about humming birds.
I just put hummingbird tongues into my browser – google – and got dozens of
articles about the birds and their remarkable tongues. Thanks Philip,
nevertheless, for alerting us!
