Sorry I don't understand what John offers as an explanation. The article
carries a date of 29-11-2017. Not sure what is the "one from some years ago".

The point of this new research and filming, is that it shows that most of the
earlier ideas to be wrong. It tells that it was thought that their tongues use
capillary action (I don't know by whom) but that is surely a strange idea for
such a fast living bird. I don't know anything more than what that article
claimed but it makes sense, when earlier ideas didn't.
