Whistling Ducks are not typical pond ducks

Typical pond ducks:

P Black Duck, both Teal, shoveler, Hardhead

Less typical but still pond ducks:

Freckled, Pink-ear, Bluebill, Musk Duck

Not pond ducks:

Whistling-Duck, Wood Duck, shelduck

It has been a good season for A Wood Ducks

The numbers at the Bungendore dams have fallen markedly, except for the Plumed 
Whistling-Ducks, 30-40 of them there at present - David
