I have seen this sort of thing before after heavy rainfall a long way away. Many birds are probably now in the flooded area of Victoria. I hope that there are still pink-ears and shovelers on kelly’s Swamp as I am taking a visiting Canadian birder there on Sunday and they are two species he is after.

Does anyone have a reliable hotspot for Superb Parrots locally at the moment?

Thanks,

Mark

Surveys in Bonner, Forde and Yerrabi Pond in the last two days has shown a sharp drop in the numbers of ducks. Yerrabi this morning has only 2 female Hardheads and 2 Pacific Black Ducks. The flock of Hardheads at the back of Forde shops had gone. Has this pattern occurred in other places?
