Mark

Thank you for the tip.  I also have some photos/video but very poor due to distance and atmospheric conditions at the time.  Might try again.

Thanks to Lori and Harvey and also to Richard Allen who actually got on to Lori after I phoned him. The birds were still there this afternoon as David McDonald has noted - Kay and I met him there at around 5:30 pm on our way back from the coast. I suggest going out in the morning when the light will be much better, this afternoon was a bit hazy and the sun was in a not so good position. Those on my Facebook “friends” site received a photo that Kay took when I first saw them at 10:14 this morning.

I will put in a Rarities form, or at least Kay’s photo, to the Rarities Panel.

Cheers,

Mark

Mark also phoned me – he further said that the pair was on the southern edge of the big dam, but one flew to the small island. Hopefully that will mean something to people more familiar with the dam, or make more sense when they get there.

Hi All,

Mark Clayton has asked me to let you know that at 10am this morning he observed two Painted Snipe at Lake George.

They were near the big dam on Lake Road (adjacent to Lake George – he said most of you would know where that is).

He didn’t have access to his emails.

Cheers Lori
