Scope would be better as birds were distant, air was bumpy at 2.30 so not good viewing conditions and both the birds sat down while I was there. Just drive down Lake Road (off Bungadore Road - which connects with Macs reef road and Fed hwy from
northern Canberra - any map will show you) 'till you see a large dam on your left cannot miss it , its a bit after where the tar runs out. There is a pull in opposite a farm gate on right Good visibility of the dam from this point.
