Yes they are cuckoos. Feeding like that is observed occasionally. Presumably the break from normal parent bird behaviour is still not complete and adult cuckoos can sometimes be enticed to feed young ones. Sometimes maybe they are the parents. But I’m a bit lost as to the one you identify as parent, looks like a (the) young bird in the other photo. Picking between Fantail & Brush Cuckoos is hard. I suspect the latter.

Julie & I were at Mulligans today and spied these two. Both look like cuckoos but 1 was definitely acting as a parent and feeding the other.  ID help greatly appreciated.
