Narcissistic pardalote?

At noon last Friday I parked at the rear of the Kippax Centre and noticed a male Spotted Pardalote perched on the exterior rear-view mirror of an adjacent car. Although not attacking it he seemed totally absorbed in his image reflected in the car’s side window as he swivelled from side to side, seemingly scrutinising one profile then the other.

I’ve never seen a pardalote behaving like this before.

To indulge in anthropomorphism, I wonder if this avian Little Lord Fauntleroy was indulging in a few moments’ self admiration?
