Interesting, I have observed one those same pelicans kill and dismember a long necked turtle.  Its amazing what at a quick flick with that bill can achieve.  The pelicans are captive birds that have been there for a long while and are fed daily by park staff.  I will pass your video link on to my contacts at TBB. I work out there as a volunteer from time to time.
