They may have been scared away by workers putting up a fence to prevent people access the wetland sin front of the Ardea hide from the side (the irony).
An unwelcome sight there was four Turtle-Doves just outside the Bittern hide. At New Line Quarry paddock a very strange assortment of birds: 40 Crimson Rosellas (mostly green birds) 40 BFCS (about half immatures) 20 Noisy Friarbirds 2 OB Orioles (one imm) And a few White-plumed Honeyeaters John Leonard
