Thank you all for your replies.  I currently have a 100-400mm f4/f5.6 with the 1.4 teleconverter on the Canon.  Will persevere with that for longer while I decide if and when :)  Yes, I have checked the cost of the big Canon lens, and not happening soon.

Anyone have experience with hiring for that 'special' trip?

Cheers

Hi to all the COG photographers.  I am thinking of getting a larger lens for my camera (Canon 7Dii).

As much as I would love to, I don't think I will ever afford any of the BIG Canon lens, so I am wondering if anyone has experiences with the SIGMA or TAMRON offerings (150-600mm lens).

Regards
