Belconnen is a good place to see Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos at the moment - especially the Ginninderra Ck corridor where lots of casuarinas, wattles and eucalypts are fruiting.  I've attached a map of my sightings of YTBCs during May (annotated with flock size).

At 09:30 today while watching Sulphur-crested Cockatoos gorging on our White Cedar berries – they must have the digestion of a land-fill billy goat – I saw a sizeable flock of Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos approaching from the south before flying east then west towards me and finally swinging through 180 degrees again to settle on an easterly bearing. Anyhow, all this ambivalence allowed me to form a reasonable estimate of numbers, I’ll bet 25.
