I went for a walk in Campbell Park this morning (Monday 9th June).
Shortly after I crossed the "horse-gate" [10:10am] a group of
honeyeaters flew into the top a big eucalypt tree near me. I think most
were White-naped Honeyeaters, but one was a bit larger and came out into
clear site. It was a Yellow-tufted Honeyeater. In his article in the
June Gang-gang newsletter, Jack Holland predicted that Yellow-tufted
Honeyeaters should be turning up soon. Well done Jack!
Another highlight was a Brown Goshawk, which was seen off by the Noisy
Miners [11:00am].
