Trust Northern Territorians not to understand their rugby codes. "Rugby", unqualified, refers to Rugby Union, a very dull game which is not usually associated with V pattern jumpers. Now Rugby League, or just "League", is a much more exciting game and does have V jumpers, as can be seen by these two teams, the top team being a League team, proudly wearing their white "Painted Snipe" Vs. The bottom team play the soporific Rugby and look nothing like Painted Snipe. (I have used Kiwis to illustrate the point to keep the keep this bird related, and thus suitable for the chatline.)
