The relevant part of my background is the period from 2 April 1970 until December 26 1982 when I was a resident of the City of Churches.  In that locale said guernsey was a a topic of some discussion in the South Parklands during the Winter months, generally in terms not suitable for a family oriented chatline such as this.  It was rumoured that St Neil Kerley, the Coach of the Crow-eaters, used to wear the guernsey to State team training since the players he coached usually grew to hate anything associated with his methods!

Note use of the word 'Crow' which, being a bird, gets this within the rules of the chatline (as I interpret them).

Very good Martin.  Below is a slide from my talk on the species.  An NT govt website sees this pattern as suggesting, of all things, a RUGBY JUMPER. I suppose Darwin draws in waifs and strays from all over the wide brown.  I am surprised your own background led you to see the OZRULES affinity

What is that strange object just to the right of the dock?  Its got a white V rather like an old Victorian State footie guernsey.

In case I have the chance to visit Jerra. wetlands before Xmas or before the p/snipe disappears completely, could someone pin-point the dock's position, please?

Steve.
