I went looking for Superb parrots at the AIS in the
main carpark about 1.30pm today 14 Aug. where I had seen 4 a couple days
ago. 4 Superbs arrived about 1.45pm and roosted in a E polyanthemos
tree at 35, 14' 47.2" S 149, 05' 57.7" E. They just sat quietly, one
with bill tucked under it's wing, till 2.50pm when they flew off heading east
towards the Mal Maninga Grandstand/Track and Field area. I listened
in the area for a while without going into the Track and Field area but
could not locate them.
