Well
the someone on the Chatline last week saying how few birds
they have observed there was me but that was just a comment on how few
birds there were noticeable over the couple of hours I was there on the day of
the official opening when there were a large number of people around and I did
not try especially hard or go actually into any "forest" areas. (I wasn't there
for a bird survey.) That was not an attempt to say that there isn't potential
for many more. As to there being 60 species there, surely that is not on a day
trip. That could maybe reasonably be true over the duration of a year or more
when you add in the various uncommon species passing
through.
Philip.
Hi, can anyone shed light on this
please? Regards - David
