I see rainbow lorikeets in my GBS site (Wanniassa) about once a week
(I have seen up to six, but usually just one or two), and see them in
Callum Brae, Farrer Ridge and Wanniassa Hills reserves. they are
definitely becoming more common around Canberra. I'm sure others have
noticed when people are interviewed on TV in places like Brisbane, the
sound of rainbow lorikeets is almost standard background audio
