I was watching a Fan-tailed Cuckoo lurking amongst Buff-rumped
Thornbills with intent on Sunday. It made me wonder if we were going
to repeat Winterbirds again this year.
I find it quite fascinating how birds respond to the apparent
fluctuations in winter conditions. Western Gerygones and Rufous
Whistlers are still around as they were this time last year. There a
plenty of honeyeaters around as well, including Yellow-faced and
White-plumed.
