I don't know about others who contributed to this discussion, but I wasn't
advocating the planting of exotics for the purposes of feeding native birds.
I was just providing information on the exotic plants in my garden that
happen to be attractive to native birds. I grow plants from many parts of
the world, including Australia, because I find them beautiful. How about a
bit of tolerance here? We grow exotics to eat, what's so wrong about
growing them for other purposes?
