Hi all

Geoffrey was here (Ainslie) looking for the juv Koel the other day and mentioned that Eastern Spinebills are more of a winter bird in this part of the country.
Lo and behold I heard one calling in the front garden about 2 hours after Geoffrey left and again yesterday.

The calistemons have started flowering.

And the Koels certainly don't have any wintery inclinations. "Our" adult male is calling as I am writing this.
