Yesterday I was cycling along Ginninderra Creek and I was swooped by a Red Wattlebird, with lots of bill clacking. Only one pass, so I am not sure whether it was aiming at me or some flying prey.
Cheers

Some (20?) years ago there was a very aggressive one on the walking trail around Mt Rogers. It was sufficiently unpleasant that an official "aggressive bird" sign was erected for it. Unfortunately I assumed this was a Magpie and didn't notice the Friarbird until it skimmed my head.

an angry brown, grey and black projectile flew past my right ear,

aggressive behavior ?
