I also have experienced Noisy Friar Bird
attack – this was in a street in Reid about 25 years ago outside the home
of someone I was visiting at the time – I recall two birds but swooped by
only one.
Can’t remember if there was blossom
in the trees they came from.

Some (20?) years ago
there was a very aggressive one on the walking trail around Mt Rogers. It
was sufficiently unpleasant that an official "aggressive bird" sign
was erected for it. Unfortunately I assumed this was a Magpie and didn't
notice the Friarbird until it skimmed my head.
