Hi, one Regent Honeyeater briefly observed this morning during the
Woodland survey on private property at the foot of Castle Hill. I
survey there with the permission of the landholders.
It was being harassed by other honeyeaters and flew off. I searched
for half an hour but could not find it again.
It is the very spot - same clump of trees I think - where I saw a
Regent Honeyeater in Jan 1990 (sic) during the Australian
Bird Count survey.
So that is two sightings of this species in the Canberra region this
week.
Regards - David
