I've seen geckos around my house in Deakin, usually outside around window frames, and once on a side gate on the wall of the house. One managed to fall inside when I opened a window one night and took a lot of catching!

I'm pretty sure I have seen two distinct species, but certainly the Marbled Gecko.

Hi Paul,
There are two species of geckos native to the ACT. Both are good
Kookaburra food.

1/. Stone Gecko (Diplodactylus vittatus) found in rocky areas usually
under rocks.
2/. Marbled Gecko (Christinus marmoratus) found under bark, in stumps
etc and sometimes in Canberra gardens in lattices etc.

A photo would be handy.

Cheers
