Last week we found the
Crested Pigeons’ nest in an evergreen shrub next to the driveway.
We’ve known they were breeding in the near vicinity for some 12 months.
There were two branchlings perched 50 cm away from it and an adult watching
nearby. We can clearly see the nest without parting the branches, nonetheless
we keep inspections to a minimum. The nest appeared remarkably thick,
probably can assume they’ve built on top of a previous nest. We’ve
seen the adults enter/leave the shrub several times during the past two days,
so could be breeding again.
