Hi Judy
When we went to Floriade the first Saturday morning, in the trees down towards
the ponds there were a number of flying foxes. They created quite a bit
of interest amongst those who hadn't seen them before.
The next Saturday when I was there with our daughter and her family, there were
lots of coloured umbrellas high in the branches of the trees. The umbrellas
bore the marks of lots and lots of flying fox fallout and intially I thought
they might have been placed there to protect the pedestrians below from this
stuff. However, they were apparently a part of the night events, and were lit
up at night.
We went again this week, and the umbrellas were gone and so were the creatures
- frightened off by the umbrellas? or by night Floriade or by the activities during
the festival? or just simply moving on?
I am sure someone knows the answer.
