The numbers were diminishing during September. I last checked on the
24th September when they had reduced considerably from a previous
estimate of 250 on 22 August (tho a count reported by Chris Tidemann
at that time showed more than 500 still there.) On 24th Sept, there
were none in the bare treees south of the pines (where they had been
for most of the winter), but still a few in the pines. I didnt try
an estimate with the flurry of Floriade in process.but I would guess
100 or less?
